The University of North Carolina located in Chapel Hill, has almost 17,000 undergraduates and 11,000 graduate students with 1,382 faculty members. UNC opened in 1789.

URI, located in Kingston, is the largest of the four Rhode Island universities. It was chartered in 1888 as the state's agricultural school. The school has about 15,000 students, graduate and undergraduate.

UT Knoxville, a land-grant university, traces its origins to 1794. There are 20,400 undergraduates, 6,000 graduate students, and 1,400 faculty. UT's MBA program is ranked 5th among public universities by the Wall St.

American University, located in Washington D.C., was founded in 1893 by an act of Congress. There are more than 5000 undergraduates, 3000 graduate students, and almost 600 faculty. AU also has a law school.

UC Berkeley is the oldest of the University of California System schools. It is a highly selective school with over 300 fields of study and 1950 faculty members. There are approximately 24,000 undergraduates and 10,000 graduate students enrolled.

Founded in 1764 as The College of Rhode Island, it moved to Providence in 1804. It was the first college to admit students of all religious persuasions.

Bucknell, located in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, was founded in 1846. Bucknell has 3400 undergraduates and 150 graduate students.

The University of Cambridge, located in Cambridge, England will be celebrating its 800th birthday in 2009. The school has approximately 18,000 students, both undergraduate and graduate.

Emory University, located in Atlanta, Georgia, was founded in 1836 by a group of Methodists. There are 12,000 students, graduate and undergraduate, and 3200 faculty.

FAS encompasses Harvard College, the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, and the Division of Continuing Education. The website describes the museums and institutes also connected to FAS.

Founded in 1636, Harvard is the oldest institution of higher education in the United States. Located in Cambridge, Massachusetts, it is highly selective school. Harvard has had many distinguished graduates including seven presidents.

ISU, in Ames, Iowa, has been voted one of the 25 most beautiful campuses in America. There are 26,000 students and more than 1700 faculty. It began in 1868 as a land-grant college.

The Donald Bren School, part of the UCIrvine campus of the University of California, was founded as a Department in 1968 and established as an independent School in 2002.

Johns Hopkins University, a highly selective university located in Baltimore, Maryland, was founded in 1876. The main campus has 4400 undergraduates and 1600 graduate students.

Lehigh, located in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, was founded in 1865. There are approximately 4500 undergraduates, 2000 graduate students, and 614 faculty members.
